A thrift store with a mission.

For over 20 years, we've helped people in Belleville get what they need with dignity and choice.

Our story in Belleville

St. Vincent de Paul Belleville has served this community for more than two decades. Our low-cost, tax-free store offers clothing, furniture, household goods and everyday essentials at prices people can manage.

We believe everyone deserves the dignity of shopping for themselves. That means choosing the necessities, and also the little things that bring comfort, confidence and joy.

What We Believe

Dignity

Everyone deserves to be treated with respect.

Choice

People know best what they need. We let them choose.

Community

Generosity grows when neighbours show up for each other.

A Cycle of Generosity

  1. 1

    You donate gently used items.

  2. 2

We sort and price them with care.

  3. 3

    Shoppers find affordable essentials.

  4. 4

Sales fund free vouchers for neighbours in need.

Items we can't sell are passed to local organizations and businesses that can use them, so very little goes to waste.

To serve the poor is to go to God. St. Vincent de Paul

Rooted in 1833. Present in 150+ countries.

The Society of Saint Vincent de Paul was founded in Paris in 1833 by Blessed Frédéric Ozanam and a group of young people who wanted to put their faith into action. Today, the Society serves people facing poverty in more than 150 countries through food assistance, clothing, emergency relief, housing support and community outreach.

Every local conference responds to the needs of its own community. In Belleville, that means affordable access to everyday goods and helping neighbours rebuild stability.

Mission, Vision & Values

Our Mission

To live the Gospel message by serving Christ in the poor with love, respect, justice and joy.

Our Vision

As a Catholic lay organization, we will embrace the world in a network of charity, serving Christ in the suffering, the poor and the marginalized, bringing them love and respect, aid and development, hope and joy, in a more just society.

We also seek to deepen our spirituality and the mutual love and support among members, so that, seeing how we serve those in need with one mind and heart, people are attracted to the Society and to Christ who animated it.

Our Values

As Vincentians, we:

  • See Christ in anyone who suffers
  • Come together as a family
  • Have personal contact with people in need
  • Help in all possible ways
